I used to lag massively on half the maps on mw2 (Estate, favela, sub base.)
The way to eliminate it is to go to C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\call of duty modern warfare 2\players

Open the config_mp.cfg file with notepad

Find R_drawater “1” (You can do that east by “ctrl+f” to open a search) and changing the “1” with a “0” then save.

I did my homework beforehand too, Vac will not ban you for changing the .cfg files.
I know rage was lagging on these maps, he can thank me later.

R_drawater “1” is not in my or Rages file.

I haven’t tested it (since I don’t need too), but it’s definitely in the file. Make sure when you do the search it’s all lower case, notepad can be fussy like that.
